Software for Alaska lodges that run on weekly arrivals and floatplanes.
Saturday in, Saturday out, a plane-load at a time. Malvavisco keeps the week straight: who arrives on which flight, which guide and boat each angler gets every day, what the kitchen serves and what each party owes when the plane comes back.

A short season leaves no room for a double-booked boat.
Around Bristol Bay alone there are roughly 90 sport-fishing lodges and camps, and Southeast Alaska has about 300 sport-fishing businesses. Most of them run the same tight loop every week from June to September.
Weekly turnovers
Arrival day and nights set the departure, so a full summer of fixed weeks is quick to fill. The season view shows six months of rooms, crew and assets at once.
The calendarPlanes, boats and skiffs
Floatplanes, jet boats, skiffs and trucks are assets with their own rows. A fly-out day is scheduled with the plane it needs, and the plane cannot be in two places.
Assets on the calendarGuide rotations
Rotate guides through the week and match skills and languages to each angler. Every change runs the overlap check again.
Guides & gearOne bill when the plane leaves
The room, guided days, the fly shop, the bar, fish processing and shipping fees all land on the same booking before departure day.
Payments & invoicesWhat an Alaska lodge needs from its booking system
Malvavisco’s answer to each, including where it stops.
Fixed weeks and charter flights
Alaska lodges sell fixed weeks and fly guests in on charters. Each booking carries its arrival and nights, the whole party and its notes. Charter legs can be services scheduled with the plane they use, so the pilot’s day and the lodge’s day line up.
Fly-outs and day trips
A fly-out to a remote river is a service with its own price that uses a guide and a plane. Malvavisco checks that both are free and not blocked for maintenance before the trip is saved.
Fish boxes, processing and shipping
Fish processing, boxes and shipping are charges on the booking, from your product list or as custom charges, so they are on the bill before the guest leaves.
Borough taxes
Several boroughs charge their own bed, sales or guide taxes. In Malvavisco each tax is a rule you define: a percentage or a fixed amount, included in the price or added on top, and versioned when the rate changes.
Deposits months ahead
Deposit and cancellation policies, payment schedules and reminder emails handle bookings taken a year or more before the season opens.
Connectivity
Many Alaska lodges now run on satellite internet, which can slow in storms. Malvavisco is a web app that needs a connection and has no offline mode yet; the kitchen screen disables its buttons when its data goes stale rather than letting the team act on old orders.
Malvavisco suits your Alaska lodge if…
A good fit
- You sell fixed weeks with guided fishing or hunting days
- Planes, boats or skiffs have to be scheduled every day
- The kitchen feeds everyone, three meals a day
- Some of your seasonal staff work better in Spanish
- You want processing, shipping and bar tabs on one bill
…and it may not be the right fit yet if:
- Guests must book and pay online on your website
- You need weekly package prices built in (packages are not built yet)
- The lodge has no internet connection for days at a time
- You need fishing or hunting licences tracked per guest
Alaska lodges ask us
Yes, as an asset. Fly-outs and charter legs are services scheduled with the plane they use, and Malvavisco stops the plane from being assigned to two trips at the same time.
Yes. Add them as products or custom charges on the booking, so they are on the same bill as the room and the guided days.
Malvavisco is a web app and works over any internet connection, satellite included. It has no offline mode yet, so a lodge with no connection at all should keep a paper fallback.
Yes. Tax rules are yours to define as a percentage or a fixed amount, included in the price or added on top, and versioned when a rate changes.
