The guide, the boat and the shore lunch, on one calendar.
Malvavisco runs the office side of a fishing lodge: rooms and rod weeks, guide rotations, boats that can only be in one place, early breakfasts, the fly shop tab and the final bill.
Works with what the lodge already runs on
Hotel software books the bed. Your guests came for the river.
A fishing week is a stay plus five or six guided days, each with a guide, a boat and a beat. Malvavisco treats all three as things to schedule, not notes in the margin.
Sell the day, assign it later
Add guided days to the booking when the group confirms. Pick the guide and the boat when you plan the week, and nothing is charged twice.
How activities workOne boat, one place
Every drift boat, jet boat, raft or truck is an asset with its own row. Malvavisco refuses a second assignment for the same hours.
See the assets calendarThe right guide for the angler
Give guides skills and languages. A Spanish-speaking spey instructor is matched to the guest who needs one, and a clash is flagged before the morning.
Guides, horses & boatsOne bill per party
Rooms, guided days, the fly shop, the bar and the transfer all land on the same booking, charged to one angler or split across the group.

What the team sees, from first coffee to tomorrow’s rotation.
- 05:30
Kitchen brief
The operations board lists today’s breakfasts, packed and shore lunches and every dietary note, acknowledged before anyone cooks.
Kitchen - 06:30
Guides and boats
The crew calendar shows who guides whom and in which boat. A sick guide is swapped in two clicks and the overlap check runs again.
Crew - 12:30
Lunch on the bank
Picnic and shore lunches are planned meals, not charges, when they are part of the stay.
Meals - 18:00
The fly shop
Flies, tippet and a lodge cap go straight onto the angler’s tab from the point of sale.
POS - 21:00
Tomorrow’s rotation
Plan the next day’s beats and boats on the calendar, then print the grid for the guide room wall.
Calendar
Built around how a fishing lodge sells and runs a week
What Malvavisco does at each step, in plain terms, and where it stops.
Bookings and rod weeks
A booking holds the whole party. Arrival and nights set the departure, prices come from your own nightly rates, and rooms can be assigned for the whole stay or night by night when cabins change mid-week. Holds, confirmations, check-in and check-out are tracked on the same record.
Guided days, guides and boats
Guided fishing, casting lessons or a float day are services with your own per-person price. After the booking is made, each outing is scheduled with a named guide and the assets it needs. Malvavisco checks that the guide is free, has the skills and languages the trip requires, and that the boat is not already out. How guide and boat scheduling works.
Assets you define
Drift boats, jet boats, pangas, rafts, trucks, ATVs or a floatplane: anything that can only be in one place becomes an asset category with its own calendar row, so the Assets view shows the whole fleet by week, month or season.
The kitchen and included meals
Breakfast, lunch, dinner and picnic meals can be included in a stay without being charged again. Dietary needs from the guest profile appear in the kitchen’s daily brief, and products routed to the kitchen or bar become tickets that move from preparing to ready to served. More on the lodge kitchen.
Deposits, balances and agents
Set deposit and cancellation policies and a payment schedule. Reminder emails go out when a deposit or balance is due, before arrival and after the stay, from English, Spanish or Portuguese templates. Booking agents and companies are kept as organizations, with versioned proposals your team turns into bookings.
Several currencies, kept apart
Canadian lodges often price in US dollars for American anglers and in Canadian dollars for Canadians; Patagonia lodges bill foreign anglers in dollars and Argentines in pesos. Malvavisco keeps separate rates per currency; each booking stays in one currency and reports show each currency on its own instead of adding them together. How multi-currency reports work.
Two fishing regions, two currency pairs.
A fly-in week in northern Ontario and a sea-trout week in Tierra del Fuego run on the same software, with different currencies, taxes and languages.
Canada: USD and CAD side by side
American anglers pay in US dollars, Canadians in CAD, and HST or GST and PST apply. Keep rates in both, outpost cabins and floatplanes on the calendar, and reports that never add the two currencies together.
Fishing lodge software for CanadaPatagonia: dollars and pesos, in Spanish
Foreign anglers pay in US dollars, Argentine guests in pesos, and the team works in Spanish. Each booking stays in one currency, and the factura T stays in your invoicing system.

What the other options say about themselves, and when each one fits better.
- LodgeRunner has served lodges since 2001. Its website lists online booking for lodging, guided trips and packages, card processing through Stripe, Square and other processors, e-signatures and waivers, and a kitchen portal (source). Most lodges pay $100–$300 a month, according to its pricing page. Choose it if anglers must book and pay online.
- Fishing Outfitter is built for guides and outfitters: a free plan and paid plans up to $179 a month, plus a booking fee of 1–4% paid by the client, with an online booking and payment widget from its Solo plan up (source).
- Malvavisco is the staff side of the lodge week: guides and boats with overlap checks, meal counts and kitchen tickets, the bar and fly shop on the bill, and each currency reported on its own, in English, Spanish or Portuguese. Pricing is quoted after a demo.

Malvavisco suits your fishing lodge if…
A good fit
- You sell guided days, lessons or float trips alongside rooms
- Guides and boats are scheduled by hand today, on a whiteboard or a spreadsheet
- Your team works in English, Spanish or both
- You want the fly shop and bar on the same bill as the stay
- You take deposits months ahead and chase balances by email
…and it may not be the right fit yet if:
- Anglers must book and pay online on your website (there is no booking engine yet)
- You sell rooms through Booking.com or Airbnb and need a channel manager
- You need fishing licences tracked and checked per angler
- The lodge has no reliable internet connection (there is no offline mode)
Fishing lodges ask us
It depends on who books. If anglers must book and pay online, LodgeRunner or a guide tool such as Fishing Outfitter fits better. If the hard part is the week itself, guides, boats, meals and the bar on one bill in English, Spanish or Portuguese, that is what Malvavisco is built for.
Yes. Guided days are sold as services on the booking, then each outing is scheduled with a guide and the boats or vehicles it needs. Overlaps, capacity, required skills and languages are checked when you assign them, and scheduling never adds a second charge.
Not as a single package price yet. Today you set a nightly rate and per-person prices for guided days and extras; anything priced at zero shows as Included on the bill. Packages, seasons and minimum stays are on the list of things not built yet.
No. Malvavisco is the staff side of the lodge. Bookings are entered by your team from email, phone or agent requests. There is no guest booking engine or channel manager yet.
No. Keep rates in each currency. Each booking uses one currency, payments are recorded in it, and reports show USD, CAD or ARS separately instead of converting or adding them together.
Yes, over Starlink or any other satellite link, as long as the connection is up. Malvavisco is a web app with no offline mode yet; the kitchen screen disables its buttons when its data goes stale rather than letting the team act on old orders.
