An honest Reservit review, and when Malvavisco fits instead.
Looking for a Reservit alternative? Start with what Reservit does well, taken from its own pages. Reservit is an all-in-one hospitality suite with offices in Montreal and Toronto, used by hotels, campgrounds, chalets and outfitters (pourvoiries), with support in French or English. Malvavisco is built around running a lodge stay: guides, boats, the kitchen and the bill, in English, Spanish or Portuguese, not French. We wrote this page, and we say when Reservit is the better choice, which for most Quebec pourvoiries it is.
What is the best Reservit alternative?
For an outfitter in Quebec, usually none: Reservit supports you in French, handles GST and QST by province, and sells cabins and packages online and through channels, and Malvavisco has no French interface and doesn’t print invoices in French. Malvavisco fits a lodge outside Quebec whose team works in English, Spanish or Portuguese and whose hard part is the week itself: named guides and boats, meals for every guest and a bar tab on one bill.
What Reservit does well
From Reservit Canada’s own website, checked on 23 October 2026.
Reservit sells one suite for hotels, motels, inns, B&Bs, chalets, campgrounds, restaurants, spas, activity operators and outfitters. Its activities page says more than 10,000 active properties in over 25 countries use it (source).
- Packages for outfitters. Packages that link a cabin with fishing rights, a boat rental and meals, which guests build online from real-time availability (source).
- Boats, motors and access rights. Inventory per equipment type, so a boat stops selling online once all are rented, and access rights sold as an activity with a daily capacity (source).
- Online sales and channels. A commission-free booking engine and a channel manager connected to Airbnb, Booking.com, Vrbo, WeChalet and nearly 300 other platforms (source).
- Payments. Deposits by percentage or fixed amount, card guarantees, pre-authorizations, security deposits and automatic balance payments before arrival (source). You can use the payment processor you prefer (source).
- Canadian taxes and invoices. GST, HST, PST or QST, accommodation taxes and tourism levies calculated by province; invoices emailed at checkout with a payment link; your own accounting codes (source). Billing works with Acomba, Sage 50 and QuickBooks (source).
- More modules. Housekeeping with room status and checklists, restaurant table reservations, a spa module, gift certificates, a CRM, a website builder and a mobile app (source).
- Team and support. Unlimited users at no extra cost, with permissions per role (source). A Canada-based team gives free phone and email support in English or French, with a dedicated account manager; most clients are running within a few days, training included (source).
How much Reservit costs
From Reservit Canada’s pages, checked on 23 October 2026.
Reservit doesn’t publish prices. It sells an annual subscription and takes no commission on bookings (source). Its outfitter page says the price scales with the number of units, cabins or camps, whether you have 3 or 50 (source). You ask for a quote on its request page.
Malvavisco doesn’t publish prices either; it quotes after a demo.

What Reservit’s pages don’t cover
Its outfitter page doesn’t mention guide scheduling, kitchen tickets or dietary needs, a bar with stock, waivers or offline use. If any of that matters, ask Reservit during its demo. For a wider field, see the best fishing lodge software comparison, or how Malvavisco runs a lodge in Canada.
Reservit reviews and alternatives
