Several currencies
Keep rates in US dollars for international guests and in local currency for residents. Each booking stays in one currency and reports never add them together.

Jungle lodges, mountain refuges, island camps and wilderness lodges sell a whole experience: the room, every meal, the guided walks and the boat out. Malvavisco keeps all of it on one booking and one calendar.
Works with what the lodge already runs on
A remote lodge cannot send a guest back for the forgotten booking. Malvavisco makes the day’s plan visible to the kitchen, the guides and the boat crew before anyone leaves the dock.
Birding walks, canopy tours and night hikes are services. Assign a naturalist guide whose skills and languages match the group, and Malvavisco flags any clash.
Guides & gearEvery boat, canoe, kayak or vehicle is an asset with its own row, so the boat that does the airport transfer is never also booked for the river trip.
Assets on the calendarIncluded meals are planned from who is staying, with dietary needs reaching the kitchen early enough to order supplies.
Kitchen & mealsKeep each tour operator as an organization, send versioned proposals and keep the whole group on one booking and one bill.

The parts of the stay that hotel software leaves on paper.
A booking holds the whole party: arrival and nights, rooms or cabins for the whole stay or night by night, and every charge. Transfers by boat, plane or road can be services scheduled with the vehicle they use.
Each excursion is sold on the booking and scheduled later with a guide and the assets it needs. Malvavisco checks that the guide is free, has the required skills (birding, diving, a boat licence) and speaks a language the group needs, and that the boat or vehicle is not already out or blocked for maintenance.
Breakfast, lunch, dinner and picnic meals can be included in the stay. The kitchen’s daily brief lists who is eating and their dietary needs, and supply lists turn into orders emailed to your vendors, which matters when deliveries come by boat once a week. More on the lodge kitchen.
The operations board shows today’s arrivals and departures, which cabins need turning and the tasks waiting for each role. Housekeeping marks rooms clean, then inspected.
Reminder emails go out for deposits, balances and pre-arrival details from English, Spanish or Portuguese templates. A pre-trip questionnaire gathers what you need, and after the stay a survey and your Google or Tripadvisor review links follow.
Malvavisco is a web app and needs an internet connection; many remote lodges now run it over satellite internet. There is no offline mode yet, and the kitchen screen disables its buttons when its data goes stale so nobody works from old orders. What works on satellite internet, and how to plan for the day it drops.

Percentages or fixed amounts, included or added on top, versioned when the rules change.
Eleven roles, from kitchen and housekeeping to finance and a read-only owner, enforced by the server.

Revenue per currency, balances, occupancy, guest origins and feedback, exported as XLSX or CSV.
Two-factor sign-in, an activity log on bookings and guest privacy requests handled step by step.
No. It is a web app and needs an internet connection; it works over Starlink or another satellite link like any website. There is no offline mode yet, and the kitchen screen disables its buttons when its data goes stale.
No. Malvavisco prints a numbered invoice for each booking, but it is not a fiscal document and it is not connected to any tax authority. Electronic invoices stay in your current invoicing system.
Not online. Your team keeps each operator as an organization, sends versioned proposals and turns the accepted one into a booking.
The staff app runs in English, Spanish or Brazilian Portuguese, set for the whole workspace. Guest emails can be written in all three, and each guest receives their own language.
